The FLEXILOOP flexible metal hose is designed to absorb movements in pipes in the three axes (x, y, z), it has six degrees of freedom and can also absorb rotational movements. The FLEXILOOP design is an effective and safe method to absorb movements caused by thermal expansion, differential settlement of two structures and seismic movements in hydraulic systems and fire protection systems. The standard supply of the FLEXILOOP flexible metal hose comes with ASTM A105 class 150 carbon steel flanges and ASTM A105 SCH 40 carbon steel elbows. In flexible metal hoses, when selecting, the following terms must always be taken into account:
PS: Service pressure.
PS: Design pressure, normally it is 1.25*PS.
Pma: Maximum allowable pressure. This pressure must be calculated in each application, it is always affected by the operating temperature and the dynamic factor of the application. We recommend viewing our technical catalog of flexible metal hoses. Pma: PN * FT * FD PN: Nominal pressure, it is the pressure given by each manufacturer and corresponds to a nominal value that is calculated for work under ideal conditions, ambient temperature and with a dynamic factor = 1.
The FLEXILOOP design, for special applications, can be supplied with flanges in different standards, such as DIN PN 10, PN 16, PN 20, or ASME B 16.5 CLASS 300, it can also be manufactured with threaded terminals, and can be supplied in materials such as stainless steel series: 304, 316 and 316L.
