StabiliZR® pressure gauges are dry pressure gauges provided with the StabiliZR® dry damping system that eliminates pointer shaking caused by vibrations and pulsations. This makes pressure reading easier and eliminates concerns about buffer fluid leaks and compatibility issues with process media. The pressure gauges are easy to maintain as they do not require the cumbersome draining and subsequent refilling of the casing with damping fluid.

How does it work?
The pointer shaft extends through the rear housing of the mechanism, and has a small flat vane attached to the end of the shaft. A silicone-filled stainless steel cap is snapped onto the end of the shaft, covering the paddle. This creates enough resistance to dampen the pointer and mechanism just as if the gauge were filled with liquid, but without the worry that this entails.
Test Parameters
250,000 cycle tests were performed with StabiliZR® gauges and glycerin-filled gauges, side by side. The performance of StabiliZR® gauges was comparable to that of glycerin-filled gauges.
