
The most commonly used packaging in shell and tube heat exchangers is the plain double jacket style. We have a significant stock of raw materials and state-of-the-art equipment with which we manufacture a wide range of measurements, figures and materials. According to the need and operational variables of the user, the packaging is designed and/or built. They are built in accordance with ASME B16.20 and TEMA standards. The most common materials that we have in stock are carbon steel, 304 and 316 stainless steel, bronze, copper and Monel® 600.

Double jacket gaskets are semi-metallic gaskets, that is, they have a metal part (shell and liner) and an internal filling made of graphite, mica, ceramic or Teflon®. They are suitable for working in systems with temperatures up to 480°C.
Packaging with welded veins
The advantage of installing double jacket gaskets with welded veins is that the weld beads at the ends improve the primary seal and the heat exchanger is less likely to leak the fluid to the outside. The welds applied to the ends of the packages must be soft; The manufacturer must guarantee a hardness equal to or less than that of the base material, in this way the gaskets deform uniformly on the flanges with the force generated by the studs during installation. Welded packaging provides the same service as packaging made in one piece without welding and its price is reduced by a high percentage.
