Firstly, a silicone cushion is applied directly to the movement of the pointer, rather than the entire case, significantly reducing the amount required and the resulting weight. Secondly, the silicone is in a sealed chamber, which prevents its evaporation and maintains lubrication in the movement of the pointer throughout the life of the meter.

The result is a meter that can withstand significant vibrations and extremely low temperatures without the leak risks that come with liquid-filled meters, all while offering the same stabilizing results as liquid-filled meters.
