Why isolate your PRV with a rupture disc?
- Protect from corrosion: Using a corrosion-resistant rupture disc to isolate your PRV from corrosive process media, extends the life of the PRV and allows you to use a standard carbon steel PRV valve and trim.
- Prevent leaks and emissions: API Standard 527 requires a maximum seat leak rate of PRV; For standard 1.5 cu.
- Reduced maintenance time: Installing a rupture disc in series with your PRV will protect against polymerization and product buildup. It also allows PRV to be tested, which is a common maintenance requirement, without removing it from the process.
